Shanghai Institute of Organic Chemistry Researches Successfully Degradable Plastic Film

Non-polluted plastic membranes that can be self-degraded or pulverized without any artificial treatment have been successfully studied and certified by the Shanghai Institute of Organic Chemistry. The pollution-free degradation plastic film is composed of polyethylene, and then added with photodegradation additives such as photooxidation degradation agent, oxidation degradation promoter, biodegradation agent and degradation control agent. It is prepared by a unique process, and has low cost and is suitable for large-scale production. Researchers will develop more than 10 tons of plastic film in the suburbs of Shanghai, more than 4,000 acres of vegetables, fruits and flowers to try, its insulation, high yield and the same as the ordinary film. After covering for 3-6 months, the mulch film left in the ground can be degraded or cracked completely or completely powdered under sunlight, and the part of the mulch film pressed on the ground can also be self-powdered without contaminating the soil.
