Several kinds of scrapers needed for coating and scraping

In the coating process, the sizing is often uneven, which requires a certain squeegee mechanism to evenly squeegee the squeegee. Squeegee mechanisms include stainless steel scrapers, comma scrapers, scrapers, wire scrapers, and air scrapers.

Stainless steel blade

This scraper is cut with a stainless steel foil and pressed against the scraper seat and acts on the upper (coated) roller. Since the stainless steel sheet is soft, the squeegee is not very uniform. Most of the squeegees are used for the squeegee on the anilox roller and also used for the pre-scraping of the stencil coating.

Comma squeegee

Such blades are often made of round steel with good strength and hardness. The blade does not rotate when scraping. The blade has high strength, high hardness and small straightness error. The pneumatic and fine adjustment mechanism can be used to adjust and control the position of the doctor blade. The coating quantity control and the scraping precision are high, and the use is extremely convenient. Due to its uniform squeegee, it is suitable for precise squeegee coating with light roller coating.

Scraper

This scraper is usually finished with a round bar with good strength and hardness. The round bar is required to rotate when scraping. Sometimes the scraper can also be scraped directly on the substrate. The full run-out error of the scraper bar is very small, and it is mostly used for the pre-squeegee glue spreader on the light roller. When the viscosity of the glue is large, it is also possible to scrape directly on the substrate with a scraper rod as an accurate scraping glue for the coating mechanism. It can also be used for thicker disposables.

Wire scraper

This kind of scraper is made of high-precision cold-drawn round steel stainless steel wire. If the wire squeegee is rotated by a micro DC motor during the squeegee, the effect is better. Wire scrapers usually act directly on the substrate when scraping. However, in general, it is only used for pre-squeegee coated with light roller. The exact squeegee blade scraper is usually required later.

Air scraper

The air scraper mechanism acts on the glue light roller by uniformly spraying the gas (pressure) flow, which serves the purpose of scraping the glue. The gas (pressure) flow is required to be evenly distributed over the entire width of the light roll. This type of scraper is often used to scrape off finely flowing glue. The squeegee has a high squeegee accuracy and is currently widely used in the application of squeegee for whiteboard paper.
