I. Proposal of the problem
In the tinplate lithographic printing process, moisture is easily trapped between the rollers due to the fact that the tinplate does not absorb moisture from the blanket cylinder. With the normal dampening system, it is difficult for the operator to master the ink-water balance in the printing iron process.
(1) Excessive water in the ink will cause the ink to emulsify, the ink will be light, and the dots will be unclear. At the same time, too much water will hinder the normal transfer of the ink between the ink rollers.
(2) There is too much water on the layout, and before and after printing is interrupted, the ink color gap is large, which affects the consistency of product color.
(3) The amount of water is too small to make the printing paste and water rubber sleeves more obvious.
(4) The intermittent water delivery of traditional water-jacketed plastic jackets tends to unevenly distribute the dampening water or produce water bars.
Second, the alcohol dampening system
2.1 The working principle of the system The alcohol fountain solution is composed of alcohol, additives and water. The alcohol dampening system can automatically mix the three components of the fountain solution to a certain proportion to meet the printing needs of the fountain solution, fountain solution The proportioning device consists of an alcohol sucker, an additive sucker, a water tank, a refrigeration system, an intermediate return tank and a water pump. The water pump conveys the dampening dampening liquid to the water bucket, so the fountain solution in the water bucket can be kept relatively constant. The fountain solution concentration and temperature have a good effect on maintaining the performance of the fountain solution and reducing the plate working temperature.
For example, our company's alcohol dampening system, its working principle is shown in Figure 1. The dampening fluid is transmitted by three water rollers, and the fountain solution is continuously and uniformly transferred to the PS plate. Meanwhile, the W3 roller is driven by a variable speed motor. It is driven with a certain proportion between the W2 roller and the W2 roller, and the W1 roller is driven with the plate roller gear. When adjusting the liquid volume, the speed of the motor of the W3 roller is generally adjusted to change the liquid volume. Its structure is simple and easy to operate.
2.2 The characteristics of the alcohol dampening system Because of the small amount of fountain solution used in the alcohol dampening system, the layout working temperature is low, and the concentration is kept constant to improve the printing quality. In addition, the tinplate printing has the following features:
(1) The different proportions of rotation of each water roller of the alcohol dampening system are ideal when the transmission ratio of the roller and the dampening roller is 1:0.8. At this time, the transmission volume of the dampening fluid is maintained regardless of the change in the pipeline speed. Uniform and uniform, so that the ink balance to achieve print quality requirements, in addition to this combination of ratios, also has the role of protecting the surface of the PS plate; PS plate surface cleaning, remove residual impurities, ink, make the printing surface bright and clean; and ordinary water The rubber dampening plate is easy to get dirty, and the uneven distribution of fountain solution seriously affects the quality of the printed matter.
(2) As shown in Fig. 1, the W4 roller of the alcohol dampening system can swing and traverse between the dampening roller and the ink roller. Adjusting it can make the dampening on the dampening roller more uniform, and can also remove the printing surface. The waterline and product defects such as print ghosts and toner.
(3) The non-absorbent nature of tinplate makes it easy for the fountain solution to stay in between the rollers to cause ink emulsification. The alcohol dampening system sets a row of fans next to the transfer roller. When it is working, it can reduce the operating temperature of the ink system. Taking away the moisture in the ink path will maintain the printability of the ink and reduce the ink emulsification to a certain extent.
(4) The alcohol dampening system has a special design for the outer diameter of the water transfer roller, the rubber lining material and the weight of the steel core, which can stabilize the uniformity of the fountain solution distribution and reduce the ink emulsification.
(5) The continuous supply of water by the alcohol dampening system can also avoid the uneven distribution of dampening fluid and the water-bar failure that is easily caused by intermittent water discharge.
Third, the conclusion
In the tinplate printing system, the alcohol dampening system has the functions of ink emulsification, printing ghosting, dirty printing, and water lines alleviating the dampening effect of the ordinary dampening system, and basically overcomes the quality defects caused by the ordinary dampening system. Limits to reduce the consumption of ink, improve pattern sharpness, strong dots, bright colors, have a significant role in promoting printing economic benefits.
