New Breakthrough in Autonomous Technology of Chinese CTP Plate Preparation

With the development of computers, network technologies and laser technologies, there has been a CTP technology in the printing field that has been hailed as a technical revolution after laser photocopying replaced lead type printing. Recently, the reporter learned from the Institute of Physics and Chemistry of the Chinese Academy of Sciences that the project team led by Professor Chen Ping was the first to carry out the silver salt type computer direct printing (CTP) in China under the strong support of the national "863" plan and the Chinese Academy of Sciences innovation project. The development of plate materials, and the successful development of silver salt CTP plates and flushing kits with independent intellectual property rights have been successfully developed.
The printing industry has developed extremely rapidly in recent years and has become an important industry in China's national economy. CTP technology eliminates intermediate films compared with current laser photofinishing technology, realizes the digital process of the whole process before printing, accelerates the speed of plate making, improves the quality of outlets, and makes another technological revolution in the printing field. In the silver salt, thermal and photopolymerized three types of CTP plates, the silver salt CTP plate is favored by the newspaper printing industry, which is unmatched by its high photosensitivity and high speed.
After obtaining laboratory results, the Institute of Physical and Chemical Technology of the Chinese Academy of Sciences is actively collaborating with companies. It has now cooperated with Beijing Pretex Electronics Co., Ltd. to develop a new technology for ultrathin layer coating and new hard-coated silver halide emulsions. The process successfully carried out the medium-scale test of the plate and rinse kits. After its media and kits were tried by many users such as Beijing Daily and Yangcheng Evening News, they all expressed satisfactory results.
The results of this pilot test have passed the expert appraisal organized by the Chinese Academy of Sciences, and the expert committee has identified it as a high-sensitivity, high-contrast-coefficient silver halide microcrystal design, high-activity, high-stability nano physical development cores, and preparation and development of a unified developer. The design and other aspects are highly innovative and highly evaluated. The project is considered to be the first in the country and has advanced international standards.
In order to turn this high-tech achievement into productivity as quickly as possible, the Institute of Physical and Chemical Technology of the Chinese Academy of Sciences has established Zhongke Silver Co., Ltd. with the Shantou Special Economic Zone of Guangdong Province in the form of technology shares. The total investment of the project is more than RMB 60 million. The plant construction and production line installation is expected to achieve trial production during the year. The project has received great attention from the local government and has become a high-tech demonstration project. It will bring greater vitality and vitality to the Guangdong printing industry, which accounts for nearly half of the total printing in the country.
