working principle

The MGM300 formaldehyde detector uses imported original three-terminal electrochemical sensors. The main one is the working electrode, which is made of a catalytically active metal coated on a breathable but hydrophobic film. Formaldehyde gas undergoes an electrochemical oxidation-reduction reaction through diffusion through the porous membrane, and the working signal of the working electrode is amplified to become the output signal of the instrument. At the same time, the circuit maintains a constant potential difference between the working electrode and the reference electrode. The voltage signal is compared with the integrated circuit processor to generate the formaldehyde gas concentration value, and displayed on the instrument panel with numbers.
