Identify toxic food packaging

It is commonplace to use plastics to package foods in daily life. However, sometimes people often overlook the fact that some plastics are poisonous. They readily pick up a plastic bag and use it to hold food. They do not know that this is harmful to human health. There are toxic types in our commonly used plastic bags. For example, PVC plastics are poisonous; PVC resins are non-toxic, but plasticizers are added during the production of plasticizers. Dioctyl phthalate, they are all toxic. In addition, stabilizers are added to some plastic products. These stabilizers are mainly lead stearate, which is also toxic. This lead salt is easily precipitated. Once it enters the human body, it will lead to accumulation of lead poisoning. When using a special food bag, it must not be used indiscriminately. The following points should be noted in use:

1. Contact of polyvinyl chloride products with solvents such as ethyl ether and ether will lead out, so it is not appropriate to use polyvinyl chloride plastic products to store alcohol-containing foods.

2. When polyvinyl chloride meets with oily foods, lead will dissolve into the food, so it is not suitable for packing oily foods.

3. When the temperature of PVC plastics is higher than 50°C, HC will slowly precipitate, which is harmful to human health.

4. Waste plastic recycling products will inevitably contain toxic components due to the complexity of raw materials, and they cannot be used for food packaging.

The people who use packaged foods daily are polyethylene and polypropylene plastic products without added additives. Using them as food bags can be reassuring.
