Printing and media copying industry profits increased by 5.8% year-on-year in January-April 2016

According to the data released by the National Bureau of Statistics, in the first four months of this year, the total profits of industrial enterprises above designated size reached 1,844.22 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 6.5%, and the growth rate dropped by 0.9 percentage points from January to March.

In the first four months of the year, in the 41 major industrial sectors, the total profit of 33 industries increased year-on-year, and the eight industries decreased. Among them, the total profit of printing and recording media reproduction industry was 14.92 billion yuan, up 5.8% year-on-year; the total profit of paper and paper products industry was 21.48 billion yuan, up 10.8% year-on-year.

From January to April, the industrial income of industrial enterprises above designated size reached 33,561.38 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 2.3%; the cost of main business was 287,733.1 billion yuan, an increase of 2.1%; the profit rate of the main business income was 5.5%. Among them, the printing and recording media copy of the owner's business income of 219.43 billion yuan, an increase of 5.3%; paper and paper products owner business income of 446.7 billion yuan, an increase of 5.8%.

In April, industrial enterprises above designated size achieved a total profit of 50.01 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 4.2%, and the growth rate dropped by 6.9 percentage points from March.
