In order to solve the increasingly serious energy shortage problem and establish laws and regulations related to environmental protection, the Chinese government is actively working to protect the environment. At the end of 2004, in order to vigorously promote resource conservation activities, the Chinese government formally promulgated the "Opinions on the Implementation of Government Procurement of Energy-saving Products" and the "Catalogue of Government Procurement of Energy-saving Products" in accordance with the "Energy Conservation Law of the People's Republic of China" and the "Propolization Law of the People's Republic of . In particular, the “Opinions on Implementation of Government Procurement of Energy-saving Products” stipulates that government agencies must give priority to purchasing energy-saving products from 2005 onwards.
