In the 1990s, with the increasing emphasis on the ecological environment protection by mankind, the “green packaging” led by the packaging revolution has become the current trend of product packaging and has been gradually implemented. In recent years, electronic information industry manufacturers in developed countries have widely used paper-based materials such as pulp molding and honeycomb paperboard in their product packaging to replace EPS foam plastic and wood packaging in order to reduce the environmental pollution caused by packaging waste. China has revitalized the electronic information industry as a pillar industry and pilot industry, and its industrial output value has been increasing at a rate of about 20% year by year. In 2000, the main indicators for the macro-control of the development of electronic information product manufacturing industry were: Industrial added value increased by 22% compared with last year, and export value also increased by 15% compared with last year. The packaging of electronic information products is not only an indispensable part of the electronic information industry, but also a particularly integral part of the entire packaging industry. With the rising awareness of environmental protection in countries around the world, China's accession to the World Trade Organization is approaching, further improvement of product quality, and speeding up the upgrading of products in line with the international market is a top priority. At present, China's electronic information industry products and home appliances packaging are still using EPS foam plastic as a buffer packaging material, while still making heavy use of wood for packaging boxes and trays. According to incomplete statistics, only about 20,000 tons of EPS foam plastic will be consumed this year, which translates into a volume of approximately 1.2 million cubic meters; a disposable wooden tray is used. About 100,000 cubic meters of wood (including disposable glass trays for glass bulbs). With the rapid growth of the electronic information industry, the consumption of EPS and wood is an astonishing figure. This not only makes “white pollution” worse, it also consumes a lot of wood, and it also affects the export of electronic information products. As far as the above situation is concerned, it is imperative that China’s electronic information industry products, especially export electronic information products, develop and develop “green packaging”. The packaging office of the Ministry of Information Industry and the Electronic Industry Packaging Technology Association have actively promoted environmental awareness and participation awareness through various channels and forms in recent years. They have successively collaborated with a number of packaging manufacturers to discuss, develop, promote and apply pulp molding and honeycombs. Cardboard and other new types of environmentally friendly soft body buffer packaging materials, carry out "paper to plastic", "paper to replace wood", improve the electronic information product packaging, and has made some achievements. Such as mobile phones, telephones, fax machines, printers, keyboards and other small, lightweight electronic products, communications products, pulp molded products have been used instead of EPS plastic cushioning materials. Some exported electronic machine tools and household appliances replace honeycomb-made trays and boxes with honeycomb paperboard. However, in the promotion of the application of honeycomb paperboard and pulp molding new materials, there is still a big gap. The survey in the past two years shows that at present, China's electronic information products use pulp molding, honeycomb paperboard products are not satisfactory, the market is not optimistic . One of the reasons is that the key problems in the pulp molded products are that the structural design, mold design, and production and processing capabilities are slow, and they are far from meeting the needs of China's electronic information product packaging, especially at present, they cannot be color television sets. Audio, computer, picture tubes, air conditioners, refrigerators and other heavy weight, slightly larger electronic products and household appliances packaging. Another example is the paper honeycomb products, such as the production process of pallets and packaging boxes, and the overall level of production molding technology is still relatively low. They only operate at an extensive level. Due to the late start of manufacturing of our honeycomb core board production equipment, the progress is slow and the production line automation is low. In particular, the molding process is almost manual operation, so it is difficult for the paper honeycomb products to achieve standardization and serialization, thus affecting the operation support of the entire production line in the assembly line. At the same time, the waterproof and moisture-proof properties are poor. After being exposed to the tide, the containers and trays are weakened, and they cannot stand up to impact and sway. The second reason is that the price is high. Pulp molded products are about 3 times more important than EPS foamed plastic products.
