However, the downstream paper products have a relatively high upside resistance. The paper mills have a wait-and-see attitude toward high-grade pulp prices. Most of them are mainly on-demand purchases, and the high-end transactions in the domestic and foreign markets are relatively stalemate.
In terms of spot price, 5,700-5,750/ton of coniferous pulp, 5,800-5,850/ton of Kelly, 5,750/ton of lion, 5,900/ton of Golden Lion, 5,750/ton of horse, 6,200/ton of Beimu, Alabama 5,650/ton, 5,650/ton of black needle, 5,700/ton of broadleaf pulp, 5,700/ton of parrot, 5,650-5,700/ton of bird, 5,900/ton of color paste, and 4,600/ton of chemical pulp.
In terms of futures, the closing price of the 1906 main contract of the pulp futures on February 22 was 5,670/ton, and the settlement reference price was 5,626/ton, which was 64/ton higher than the previous settlement price. The turnover was 560,956 lots and the positions were 194,514 lots.
Driven by cost pressures such as the rebound in wood pulp prices, coated paper prices began to loosen, and paper mills tried to rise by issuing price increases. APP, Sun Paper, and Huatai Paper have issued price increases. From March 1st, coated paper products will rise by 200/ton.
