A coating roller device for a printing machine includes an ink form roller, a compression coil spring, a bolt and a U-shaped grooved ink form roller in contact with the vibration roller and sliding in the axial direction to follow the axial movement of the vibration roller. The ink form roller has a rotatably supported roller shaft and a roller body which is supported so as to move in the axial direction of the roller shaft. The compression coil spring axially biases the roller body. The bolt moves radially back and forth at the end of the roller shaft. The U-shaped grooves are provided on the roller body and are engaged by bolts to axially restrict the sliding movement of the ink roller.
