Montblanc Timewalker introduces new complications
Montblanc’s modern urban style timewalker watch is the first to carry a Montblanc exclusive patented external frame tourbillon. This performance combines an excellent time-calibration component with a single-button chronograph function into a bold aesthetic design. The lightweight and highly durable material enhances the performance of the Timewalker watch from the case to the movement. 
External Frame Tourbillon <br>In the Timewalker external frame tourbillon minute chronograph (limited edition of 100 pieces), Montblanc first introduced the external frame tourbillon function for the Timewalker series. Montblanc's patented external frame tourbillon device is one of the highlights of the Heritage Chronograph series, but it has never before appeared in the Timewalker watch series.
The one-minute external frame tourbillon was exclusively developed by watchmakers at the Montblanc watch factory. The English name "Exo" is derived from Greek, meaning "outside", by means of a tourbillon that rotates the screw balance outside the frame. This patented design reduces the volume of the rotating frame, independent of the weight of the balance wheel, and saves about 30% more energy than an ordinary tourbillon. The balance wheel is placed outside the rotating frame and can be unaffected by the inertia of the frame, increasing the accuracy. Another practical feature of this structure is the realization of the stop-second mechanism, which allows the wearer to accurately set the second hand by stopping the screw balance with a miniature spring. This stop-second mechanism can directly stop the balance wheel instead of the tourbillon frame to prevent the “backswing†phenomenon from occurring after the second stop and affect the accuracy. The time setting function of this watch is very practical. The wearer can dial the crown to the second position and move it forward and backward, that is, the hour hand can be used to adjust the hour hand, which is quick and easy. Adjustments have no effect on the minute hand and second hand, so that the travel time is always accurate. This function also applies to date settings, making it easy to set time on the go. The wearer can dial forwards or dial back the hour hand to adjust the date in units of 24 hours. When the needle tip sweeps past the 24th hour, the date hand will advance or retreat accordingly. With the crown set to the third position, a red arrow pointer can be seen on the tourbillon frame to precisely adjust the second hand.
This bold and innovative tourbillon structure is integrated into Montblanc's exclusive Chronograph movement, which combines all the elements of a traditional chronograph with a modern high-performance structure, featuring a single button, column wheel, efficient and accurate vertical coupler, and automatic Chain and twin barrels.
With a titanium bottom case with an external frame tourbillon minute chronograph (limited edition of 100 pieces), the timepiece can be seen on the delicate hollowed-out oscillating movement of the movement. It is decorated with an engraved, sculpted Montblanc emblem. The exterior is plated with Black enamel coating, more calm temperament.
Convergence of high-tech materials <br>The 44-mm-diameter three-piece case is uniquely made of titanium, carbon fiber and DLC. The micro-machined titanium bezel is coated on the outside with a scratch-resistant black DLC coating. The case middle piece is made of a unique carbon fiber structure that exhibits a special horizontal stripe pattern instead of the usual mesh pattern. The multi-layered carbon fiber coatings are piled up perpendicularly to each other and fused with synthetic resin in a ten-ton high-pressure and high-temperature environment to form a dense carbon fiber block. The case's circular shell is pressed vertically into the carbon fiber layer to form a tight, seamless “monomer†that is tightly placed on the case titanium intermediate and is clamped and held in place by two hollow titanium supports and the surface is precisely drawn. Process treatment. The shell made in this way is light and strong, which can effectively protect the internal movement of the watch and highlight the unique style of the Time Walker series.
