K 2004: BST introduces network inspection system designed to save time

ELMHURST, IL, USA - BST International reported that in K 2004 it will introduce its new "ProScan 3000 ProMark Edition" video network-inspection system. In addition to "smart system" features (such as fast zooming of images, dynamic image update (DIU), and multi-function split screens), BST International calls it the "high end" video network- 16th generation of inspection systems. According to BST, the standard features of ProScan 3000 are:

High-resolution 3-chip CCD camera with a 127 mm x 101 mm field of view (optional 235 mm x 178 mm);

Among the new development features of BST ProScan 3000, the most important ones are:

Color-to-Color Comparison (CTC): A color reference can be generated from any position in the print preview; it can then be compared to the color at any other position. “In split-screen mode, the simultaneous display of the baseline and the live screen allows the printer to see at a glance whether any color change has occurred,” the manufacturer said.

Combined scanning: Designed to automate the print inspection process. “This feature combines all necessary inspection parameters—programmed position, automatic continuous scan path and split screen position—into a comprehensive continuous inspection loop.
