Japan Toyo Ink Releases EB Hardening Ink

Toyo Ink Manufacturing Co., Ltd. of Japan introduced an EB (Electron Wire) hardening ink that does not require a photopolymerization starter type. This ink can realize a high-function printing system and is the world's first. Compared with general products, the developed product has 2.5 times higher pigment concentration and can be colored. Because it does not use photo initiator, solvent, and instant substrate, it can be printed on polyolefin film.

In the printing market related to various films and flexible packaging materials such as paper and the like, there is a need for a printing system in which UV (ultraviolet) hardening ink and UV-curable coating film capable of reducing organic solvents can be used for gravure ink or packaging ink.
However, the high speed printing performance is limited, and the photopolymerization initiator contained in the UV ink is the cause of the cost increase. The EB hardening printing system introduced by Toyo Ink Manufacturing Co., Ltd. is “Min-Ebweb33”. After printing, the ink instantly hardens and can be rolled up in a timely manner. High-concentration, high-concealed printing quality can be obtained, for PET, PP, PE, PS, etc. The adhesiveness of the film is high.
