5G is called the fifth generation mobile communication technology. 3GPP defines three major scenarios, including eMBB (Enhanced Mobile Broadband), uRLLC (low latency and high reliability), and mMTC (large-scale machine communication). Compared with the previous mobile communication technology, 5G technology will support more bandwidth. Taking China's current 5G field test as an example, the frequency band is 3.4GHz-3.6GHz, and the bandwidth needs to be supported to 100MHz, which can significantly increase the transmission rate. At the same time, in the latest 3GPP 5G standard, technologies such as subcarrier spacing, new waveforms, and frame structure have been completely defined.

Rohde & Schwarz has been actively involved in 5G field trials in various countries, and has completed 5G transmitter RF testing with different equipment manufacturers, including 5G new signal analysis and RF index testing.

3.1 Standard 5G signal analysis

According to the latest 5G standard progress of 3GPP, the typical parameters for the 5G eMBB scenario in the frequency band below 6GHz are as follows:

3.2 Custom 5G Signal Analysis

Since the 5G standard has not yet been finalized, especially for the mMTC and URLLC scenarios. At the same time, many universities, enterprises or research institutions will adjust some parameters on the basis of the existing 5G standards to verify the optimal performance of the system. In addition, some customers will make changes to the standard 5G signal for use in a private network. Rohde & Schwarz's spectrum analyzer FPS can receive the corresponding IQ data through the U disk or network through the standard IQ Analyzer function, for customers to use Matlab or other processing software for subsequent processing analysis, the maximum support The analysis bandwidth is 160MHz and the storage depth is 200M Sample. 3.3 Transmitter frequency domain test

For the testing of 5G devices, in addition to the need to analyze the modulation quality of the signal. For the transmitter equipment, it is also necessary to test its radio frequency characteristics. Take the technical specifications of the second phase of the 5G technology R&D test released by the China IMT2020 (5G) propulsion group as an example, and test the following items for the transmitter requirements:

4 Summary
