Trail running, the first is wild, and then it is running. Many well-known cross-country race routes are traditional classic trekking routes. They were formerly people reinstalling a few days to go down the route. Later, some people began to play "light fast ride through." This is probably the predecessor of "cross-country running."

Cross-country running is even more "lightly loaded" than "light travel". Due to the supply and protection of the tournament, hundreds of players entered the mountain with only very limited equipment. Whether it is heavy walking or light crossing, people will be responsible for their own safety and carry enough equipment to deal with outdoor risks and protect themselves; while participating in cross-country races, the equipment carried by each player is completely established on the promise of the game. Up. They abandoned the heavy warm coat and believed that once they appeared, they would only need to maintain a supply station that was a few kilometers away. They would be contained and ensure safety; they only carried a small amount of drinking water and food and believed that they would have every dozen kilometers. Supply stations can be added; they did not understand route and weather risks in advance because they are fully confident that the organization will evaluate the weather for them, do a good job of signposting, and make a good plan.

Event organizers really know what they are doing. The following is not a large-scale "Organizational Standard for Cross Country Running Competitions", but only a few "hard" standards.

1. Promise

The biggest risk of the game is not the weather, but promised to honor it. Once your prior commitments have not been honored, players will be placed in the greatest danger. At this point we should respect the standard: carefully assess the work you can achieve, and then prudent commitment. Don't say what you can't say for 100% surety; don't be exaggerated for recruiting more players; especially if your game design is "below" the regular game settings that everyone is used to (for example, the game does not set a roadmap The use of self-navigation methods, long distance between supply stations, or the need for self-supply throughout, must be explicitly stated in advance.

Here again, there is a mandatory equipment, which leads to another standard: the protection and supply provided by the game, plus the mandatory equipment that the players must carry, should satisfy them from the bad weather to the complete time before the game is terminated. Calmly survive in the mountainous region where the entire track is located.

2, the weather

Weather is always the top spot in the outdoor issue list. Each organizer should first carefully investigate the climate conditions in the competition area and try to set the competition in a relatively “stable” season, not just warm. Because the challenge itself is also one of the outdoor fun, you can completely organize a calm snow race, but it is best not to engage in the competition in seasons that are prone to heavy storms. In any case, there are always unexpected weather conditions. First of all, there must be a severe weather plan. It must be set at the stage of preparation for the game, what kind of weather conditions will appear, and what the game will change to. Fortunately, current technology is well-developed, and most severe weather can make relatively accurate forecasts at least 12 hours in advance. Bad weather includes: strong winds, heavy rain, heavy fog, thunderstorms, and freezing rain. These are conditions that are sufficient to cancel or terminate the game.

Let me talk about the last two items: thunderstorms and freezing rain. In these two cases, it is suggested that the game be cancelled instead of being suspended. Strong thunderstorms are usually accompanied by squally winds, hailstorms, and heavy rain. The destruction of people and the track is enormous. The phenomenon of freezing rain, which is rarely found in the north in the south, is really terrible and there is a disaster. However, both types of weather are predictable, so be sure to announce the cancellation of the game before the game; or advance, postpone or shorten the track to ensure that the game ends before they arrive.

The wind, heavy rain, and dense fog should be looked at according to the actual situation. If your track is relatively leeward on most roads; if your track is well drained, it will not be too slippery or have a landslide risk; if it is just a short period of heavy rain, it will not be accompanied by strong winds and lightning; if you The track is obvious enough, although the fog is not easy to get lost; if ... ... to a specific assessment, can reach the conclusion of the normal game, and then notify all players, staff, ready to share. In addition, it is also a good idea to prepare an alternate track. Reducing altitude and road difficulty is a good choice to effectively balance the effects of bad weather.

3, track

The circuit design is the core manifestation of the game features, each organizer has their own understanding of the track, or difficult or easy, different positioning.

(I) Supply and Transportation

All supply stations of the competition should be set as far as the vehicles can reach in order to facilitate the transportation of materials and garbage, as well as the acceptance and rescue of the players. At the same time, please try to stay away from water sources and other areas that are sensitive to environmental pollution, because the periphery of the supply station is usually a place where more waste is generated. In the end, it is necessary to specially arrange waste disposal in the pre-race plan. When the station is withdrawn, the site should be restored to its original condition.

(b) Signposts and Guidelines

This is the job that bears the brunt of the game experience and player safety. The manner in which this work is carried out is closely related to the venue in which the competition is held.

In areas where visitors are numerous, such as the Western Hills in Beijing and the Western Hills in Hangzhou, the probability of hanging road signs is very high. The only correct posture for road maps in this type of area to be foolproof is to form a strong track group and conduct large-scale intensive deployment of signposts as soon as possible before the match (such as the day before the game); Before the match, the speed team members arranged for the second round of the top bid in front of the champion; then the mobile team was arranged to carry the signposts to follow the front of the team during the match and the damaged sections were repaired at any time. The situation may be more complicated in areas where people are inaccessible. Soft signs placed on the ground are not easily identified by the players, and the second is easily destroyed by cattle, sheep and goats that are stocked. These venues may require more difficult postures: such as nailing large hard road signs, or simply adopting a navigation system.

There are three problems in this: First, the height of the road signs: as far as possible in accordance with local conditions, as far as possible in the 1.4 meters, which is the player in the running of the most relaxed sight line height. Secondly, the “high-risk point of running out of the wrong lane” of the road to the path: It is necessary to clearly, continuously, and densely lay out several road signs on the correct route. It is also advisable to place an “X” sign on the wrong route at the same time. Thirdly, is there still need to be a signpost on a very long track with no clear roads? What is needed is for the players to confirm that he has not gone wrong with the “mental comfort label” and that “security” is also part of the safety of the game. . Finally, the killer-level big move: guiding people along the way. There is no more comfort and comfort than putting people at important intersections.

(III) Special Sections

1, steep, dry and slippery. This section of the road should not be used as much as possible. If not, use on the uphill. If you must use it in the downhill direction, you need to know: First, there will be traffic jams - too many players will not dare to go down such a slope, the passing speed will be very slow and slow, and secondly, the ropes will be pulled so that the players can pull all the way. Falling ropes; third, definitely not too long, otherwise it will be everyone's nightmare, including players, rescue workers and so on.

2. Wade, if the game has crossed the stream many times, please be sure to tell the players before the game. No one will wear off more than a dozen shoes, and from the third time on, it will definitely drown. However, everyone will feel that the first two wasted time is very embarrassing. Be sure to inform the player in advance so that they can have their own choice. Another situation is the real sense of crossing the river. To cross the river with a deep waist is to pick up the ropes, and to arrange for the rescue personnel to attend. At the same time, we must also investigate in advance the rising period of the river, the discharge of water from upstream reservoirs, etc. Wait.

3. Traffic jams, this is definitely a global problem, and many large-scale competitions will encounter the problem of the “large traffic jam” at the first entrance to the hill. Apart from choosing a wider road into the mountains, there is no better solution. If you can't escape, then there are two things to do: First, announce before the race, tell the players where to jam, and be prepared for thinking; second, arrange for personnel to maintain order here.

4, spare track

It's really hard to be a responsible cross-country race. You must have two or even three plans in advance. The principle of the alternate track is two points: First, reduce altitude, the severity of the weather will decline sharply with the decline in altitude; Second, choose as smooth, strong and wide road surface, it is best to take the car when necessary.

5. Rescue security system

The rescue and protection system for a game consists of four parts: medical care, rescue, closing, and hosting. First, doctors, nurses, and ambulances are deployed at the starting and ending points of road access and at the supply stations. The vehicle also shuttles between each supply station and the destination. The track between the supply stations cannot be reached by the rescue. The team is responsible. There are two kinds of accidents in the game: first, they are not injured seriously, and they can insist on escaping to the nearest supply station; second, they are very heavy and cannot advance by themselves and are escorted by the rescue team to the nearby supply station. , Or return to the terminal by the vehicle, or from the ambulance to the hospital.

One particular point to note here is that various rescue forces should not easily take off: the wounded who can be transported with the shelter vehicle should not move the ambulance; the wounded who can relay midway through the escort, the rescue personnel should not leave the area of ​​their responsibility too far. . All personnel in the rescue system need to be very clear about which link in the chain they are.

The other is the finishing touches. This is a position that requires a high level of responsibility and ability. Make sure that you are following the last player on the track. The track behind you is absolutely “clean”. Therefore, in a longer game, we have to divide the track into several segments to complete the end, and the end of each segment at least two people start.
