(III) Constitution of Outdoor Service Industry in the United States

In 2013, of the 1.367 billion people in China, 60 million were engaged in outdoor sports such as climbing, rock climbing, and walking (4.38% of the total population).

At present, Chinese outdoor sports consumers appear to be younger, accounting for 53% of people aged 26 to 40 years old, and they are highly educated. University graduates (including specialists, undergraduates, and post-graduates) account for 80.4%. They are keen to climb mountains. There are three types of outdoor sports: hiking, camping and camping.

(V) Comparison of industrial scale and industrial structure between China and the United States

China's outdoor and sports overall market scale is 554.1 billion yuan, accounting for 0.88% of GDP; the overall outdoor and sports industry scale of the United States is 1,235 billion US dollars, accounting for 8% of GDP.

Sino-US industrial structure: The ratio of equipment supplies and service industry is 7:3 in China and 3:7 in the United States.

Compared with the U.S. market, China's outdoor and sports industry market has about 10 times the growth space, which is more from the explosive growth of the service industry.

(6) Comparison and summary of outdoor sports between China and the United States

1. Compared with the United States, Chinese residents’ outdoor participation is far from enough. The United States currently has more than 300 million people and about 140 million people participate in outdoor sports, accounting for 49.4%. The population of China's participation in outdoor activities is only about 60 million people. In China's huge population base, participation is only about 5%.

As a result, customer groups are limited and development is slow.

3. Americans are full of adventure spirits. Their culture and living habits are very different from those in China. This determines that our country's outdoor sports are less dangerous and less irritating than the United States. It also shows that the types and diversity of outdoor sports in our country are weaker than the United States. The future outdoor sports industry should focus on infrastructure and security work, actively study the mature outdoor sports experience in the United States, and develop diverse types of outdoor sports in China.

Outdoor sports activities should be based on the consumption habits and culture of Chinese residents, starting with the development of outdoor sports such as running, cycling, and mountaineering, and actively exploring the potential of new outdoor sports. At the same time, camping, kayaking, sailing, etc. should be established. Outdoor base.
