Amoco Barex resin approved for use in beverage containers

Amoco's application for the use of its Barex resin as a beverage packaging container material was recently approved by the US FDA (Food and Drug Administration).

FDA agrees to package all non-milk beverages, non-alcoholic beverages and non-calorie beverages and packaging containers made from extruded resin raw materials Barex 21 O polymer resin copolymerized with acrylonitrile and methacrylate. There is no carbonated beverage. It is said that Barex extrusion molding resin has crystal-like transparency, certain softness and barrier property to oxygen and carbon dioxide, and is very suitable for processing beverage containers.
